But within its depths lurks a venom, a dangerous lure that promises glory at the cost of souls. They say those who fall in its current are forever consumed by the stream's hold, their lives forever transformed into a tragic melody.
When the Tanks Burst
On January 15th, 1919, Boston experienced a disaster unlike any other. A massive tank filled with molasses burst open in the city's North End, unleashing a wave of sticky sweetness that raged through the streets like a tsunami. The flood, standing at least 25 feet in some areas, was devastating. Homes and businesses crumbled under the weight of the sticky goo.
The aftermath was tragic. Twenty-one people lost their lives, and many more sustained wounds. The flood also caused ruin to property, leaving a trail of molasses carnage in its wake.

The city/Officials/Local authorities are working to clean up/contain/investigate the sticky situation, but until then, Boston is left navigating/scrambling/dealing with this sticky/treacherous/tacky predicament.
